Rick Aviles was an American comedian and actor, best known for his roles in films such as “Waterworld” (1995), “The Godfather Part III” (1990), and “Carlito’s Way” (1993). He was born on October 14, 1952, in New York City, United States, and passed away on March 17, 1995, at the age of 42 due to complications from AIDS.
Aviles began his career as a stand-up comedian and worked on various comedy shows, including “The Improv” and “Catch a Rising Star”. He also appeared in several films and TV shows throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, including “The Purple Rose of Cairo” (1985) and “Miami Vice” (1987).
Aviles was best known for his role as the villainous “Willie Lopez” in the film “Ghost” (1990), for which he received critical acclaim. He also starred in “Waterworld” as a character named “Gates,” and in “Carlito’s Way” as a character named “Quisqueya.”
