He first rose to prominence as a bodybuilder, winning several Mr. Universe titles and Mr. Olympia, the top bodybuilding competition in the world. He then transitioned to acting, becoming a Hollywood star with his lead role in the action film “Conan the Barbarian” (1982) and its sequel “Conan the Destroyer” (1984). Some of his other well-known film roles include “The Terminator” (1984), “Commando” (1985), “Predator” (1987), “Total Recall” (1990), “Twins” (1988), and “Kindergarten Cop” (1990). He has been nominated for several awards, and has won several Golden Globe Awards. In addition to his acting career, Schwarzenegger is also a successful businessman, and was the 38th Governor of California, serving two terms from 2003 to 2011.
