FILM IS A SYNERGISTIC AND COMPREHENSIVE FUSION OF MANY PARTS. FILMS ARE RATED, THE ACTORS THAT BRING THE WORDS TO LIFE ARE NOT.
PERFORMANCESÂ Â ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE FILM PROCESS,
..but seldom are these acts, big or small, taken into strong consideration, only but for a small pool of nominations and awards that have an unfortunate lean towards popularity and stars, rather than performances and lesser known actors. Diligent actors like most serious professionals have embarked on training. Talent and experience have in most cases improved the pedigree of an actor’s performance. It says little to our appreciation of the craft when an audience can’t praise a performance without the artificial push of agencies or commentaries of social media bots or trolls. Poor performances grind a film to a halt, and those performances, like any film rated, must be reviewed.
Directors should also share in the adulation and or poor criticism of a film’s direction.
(Exceptions arise when outside influences disturb the original intent of the performance or direction.) We the audience, the consumer of their art, their work must be unbiased, fair and resilient to the forces of the moment.
