Arsenio Hall

Arsenio Hall is an American comedian, actor, and talk show host. He was born on February 12, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, United States.

Hall began his career as a stand-up comedian in the 1980s and became a regular guest host on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson” in 1987. In 1989, he launched his own late-night talk show, “The Arsenio Hall Show,” which quickly became popular among young viewers and featured a diverse array of guests, including musicians, actors, and political figures. The show ran until 1994.

Hall has also appeared in several films, including “Coming to America” (1988) alongside Eddie Murphy, and “Harlem Nights” (1989) with Murphy and Richard Pryor. He has also made guest appearances on various TV shows, including “Chappelle’s Show” and “The Celebrity Apprentice.”

In addition to his work in entertainment, Hall is also known for his philanthropic efforts, particularly his work on behalf of the AIDS community. He has served as an ambassador for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and has raised millions of dollars for AIDS research and advocacy.
