CCH Pounder is a Guyanese-American actress. She is best known for her role as Dr. Kathy RS Mangrove on the medical drama series “ER” (1994-2009), as well as her role as Detective Claudette Wyms on the FX police drama “The Shield” (2002-2008). Pounder has also appeared in numerous other TV shows and films, such as “Avatar” (2009), “Warehouse 13” (2009-2014), and “Sons of Anarchy” (2008-2014). She has been nominated for several awards for her acting work, including Primetime Emmy Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
