Leonard Nimoy was an American actor, film director, poet, singer and photographer. He is best known for his role as Mr. Spock in the “Star Trek” franchise, appearing in the original television series (1966-1969), several feature films, and several other spin-off series. Nimoy’s portrayal of Mr. Spock has made him a cultural icon and he is widely regarded as one of the most recognizable characters in science fiction. He was also a prolific stage actor and director, and released several albums of folk music and poetry. Nimoy died in 2015 at the age of 83.
