Omar Sharif was an Egyptian actor. He was born on April 10, 1932, and died on July 10, 2015. He was best known for his roles in the films “Lawrence of Arabia” (1962), “Doctor Zhivago” (1965), and “Funny Girl” (1968). Sharif was a versatile performer, equally at home in dramatic and comedic roles, and he was widely regarded as one of the most charming and charismatic actors of his generation. In addition to his acting career, Sharif was also an accomplished bridge player.
