Pam Grier is an American actress. She rose to prominence in the early 1970s as a star of several action and blaxploitation films, including “Coffy” (1973) and “Foxy Brown” (1974). Grier’s strong and confident screen presence, as well as her beauty, made her one of the most popular and influential actresses of her time. She continued to act in film and television throughout the 1970s and 1980s, and has since made a successful return to the screen in recent years, with notable roles in films such as “Jackie Brown” (1997) and the television series “The L Word” (2004-2009). Grier has been nominated for several awards, including a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for “Jackie Brown”.
