Paul Newman was an American actor, film director, and philanthropist. He was one of the most respected and versatile actors of his time, known for his good looks, talent, and charismatic screen presence. Newman appeared in over 60 films, including “The Long Hot Summer” (1958), “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” (1958), “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” (1969), “The Sting” (1973), and “The Color of Money” (1986), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor. He was also an accomplished race car driver, and was widely known for his Newman’s Own food company, which he co-founded in 1982 and which donates all of its profits to charitable causes. Newman died in 2008 at the age of 83.
