Philip Seymour Hoffman was an American actor and director. He was widely regarded as one of the best actors of his generation and was known for his powerful and diverse performances in films such as “Boogie Nights,” “The Big Lebowski,” “Magnolia,” and “Capote,” for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor. Hoffman passed away in 2014 from a drug overdose.
