Pip Torrens

Pip Torrens is an English actor, born on June 2, 1960, in Bromley, Kent. He is best known for his roles in television shows like “The Crown,” “Poldark,” and “Preacher.”

Torrens began his acting career in theater, performing with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre. He made his film debut in 1984’s “Oxford Blues” and has since appeared in numerous movies such as “The Remains of the Day,” “Pride and Prejudice,” and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

In television, Torrens has made notable appearances in shows like “The Crown,” where he played the role of Tommy Lascelles, the Queen’s private secretary, and in “Preacher,” where he portrayed the villainous Herr Starr. He has also appeared in shows like “Versailles,” “The Hour,” and “Black Mirror.”

In addition to his acting work, Torrens has worked as a voice actor, lending his voice to video games like “Assassin’s Creed III” and “BioShock Infinite.” He has also worked as a narrator for audiobooks.

Torrens has received critical acclaim for his performances, receiving a nomination for the Best Supporting Actor at the 2020 BAFTA Television Awards for his role in “The Crown.”
