Robin Williams was an American actor and comedian. He was widely regarded as one of the greatest comedic talents of his generation, and his career spanned several decades. Williams began his career as a stand-up comedian in the 1970s, and became a household name in the 1980s with his lead role in the hit television series “Mork & Mindy”. He later transitioned to film, and is best known for his roles in classic comedies such as “Good Morning, Vietnam” (1987), “Dead Poets Society” (1989), “Aladdin” (1992), and “Mrs. Doubtfire” (1993). He also appeared in dramatic roles, such as “Awakenings” (1990) and “Good Will Hunting” (1997), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Throughout his career, Williams received numerous awards and honors, and his contributions to the entertainment industry have been recognized with numerous tributes. Williams passed away in 2014.
